The Black Cooperative Impact Fund (BCIF) sought a rebrand to better connect with both donors and recipients. The goal was to present the organization as a modern, trustworthy, and community-driven financial resource.
We began with a brand audit to identify what was and wasn’t working in their existing identity, followed by a brand landscape analysis to study how other financial institutions communicate visually. These insights guided a design approach focused on simplifying and elevating the brand.
While their original palette centered on blue and green, we refined it by introducing richer, more saturated tones, complemented by black, white, and a dynamic gradient for added depth. We also developed a distinctive typography system, as well as custom patterns and illustrations designed for flexibility across print, digital, and social media touchpoints.
The result is a cohesive, confident visual identity that feels both professional and community-focused, reflecting BCIF’s mission to empower and invest in Black-owned businesses.
